NCAA Passes On USM Baseball At Large Bid

The University of Southern Maine baseball season is over. No at large bid from the NCAA for a spot in a regional. It ends a four year run of the Huskies at a regional.

The Huskies finished 29-13 after losing two straight games at their Little East Conference Tournament.

The NCAA had 16 at large bids to give out nationwide and gave one to UMass Boston for the LEC. The Beacons were 3-0 vs the Huskies during the year. The NCAA  sent UMass Boston to the Mid-Atlantic Regional.

Eastern Conn State won the LEC tournament and will play in the New England Regional.

By the way, the North Atlantic Conference champ, Castleton, was send to the New York Regional.
