Jury selection in the murder trial of Jesse Marquis is scheduled to begin Monday, June 13th, according to the Maine Attorney General's Office. The trial in Aroostook County Superior Court in Caribou is set to get underway the following day.

The 39-year-old Marquis is accused in the shooting death of his girlfriend, 31-year-old Amy Theriault in St. Francis on May 31, 2014.

Marquis hid out for nearly a week while police conducted an extensive search in northern Aroostook County, before he was finally captured in the woods in St. Francis.

He pleaded not guilty to the murder charge in August 2014.
