Round one of the 2015 season between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens went to the Habs as they took a 4-2 win at the Boston Garden Saturday night.

Montreal scored the first three goals of the game with Lars Eller scoring twice early in the second period. That would be more than enough to give the Habs a victory and send the Bruins to an 0-2 start to the season.

Matt Beleskey scored his first goal in a Bruins uniform and Patrice Bergeron added a powerplay goal in the third but it was too little too late. Generating offense was difficukt for the Bruins who were outshot by the Canadiens 37-21.

Boston will regroup and get ready to play former Maine Black Bear Ben Bishop and the Tampa Bay Lightning in a Columbus Day 12 noon matinee. You can hear that game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
