Moncton Man Wanted For Aggravated Assault in Custody [UPDATE]

UPDATE: Police have located a Moncton man who was wanted on a warrant of arrest for aggravated assault.

Sgt. André Pepin said Wednesday that 25-year-old Shawn William LeBlanc was located by the Codiac Regional RCMP in Moncton Tuesday evening and taken to hospital for treatment.

LeBlanc was wanted in connection with an incident that occurred on August 6 in Moncton. Police say he has been charged with aggravated assault, assault, forcible confinement, uttering threats, and choking another person.

LeBlanc remained in hospital Wednesday and will be placed under arrest prior to his release from hospital, Pepin said.
