Moncton Man Killed in ATV Accident in Northeast New Brunswick
The RCMP is investigating an ATV crash in Petit-Shippagan early Sunday morning that claimed the life of a 20-year-old Moncton man.
The accident occurred on a trail near Highway 113 not far from the Lamèque town limits, according to Sgt. Benoit Jolette of Northeast District RCMP. Two people were on the ATV when it struck a fence at approximately 5 a.m. Sunday.
A 20-year-old man from Moncton died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The victim's identity has not been released. The other rider, a 20-year-old man from Coteau Road, N.B., was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The N.B. Coroner Service and an RCMP reconstructionist attended the scene to investigate the cause of the crash.
The investigation continues.
