Hartland Fire Chief Mike Walton said the call came in shortly before 5 p.m. of a fire at a rented mobile home in Mainstream, just east of Hartland.  A tenant reported the fire on the property owned by Shawn Johnston.

The Hartland Fire Department worked for about four hours, with mutual aid from Florenceville-Bristol to completely extinguish the flames. An auto repair garage belonging to Johnston was destroyed. The mobile home sustained significant damage and is no longer livable, Walton said. The displaced tenant is staying with family.  There were no injuries.

Chief Walton said other rental properties on the lot were not damaged by the fire.  The Fire Marshal's Office was on site Tuesday morning to try to determine the cause.

The RCMP is also investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.
