She's here! Evelyne Nadine Pitney, Mo Pitney's first child, has arrived -- albeit, a little bit earlier than expected.

"Well, Evelyne Nadine decided to have her birthday early!" Pitney wrote on Instagram on Thursday (Jan. 12), sharing a photo of the newborn all wrapped up in a blanket. "Em and I had a number of scares this morning, but God intercepted every one of them with His powerful sovereign love ... I couldn't be more thankful to have our baby and my wife safe and loved."

Baby Evelyne was expected to arrive sometime in February; Pitney and his wife, Emily, revealed their pick for the baby's name, and her sex, in mid-September, after announcing that they were expecting in early August.

Pitney and his now-wife were engaged in September of 2015 and married in early March, in Emily’s hometown of Carbondale, Ill. The pair met there as teenagers, while both performing at a bluegrass festival. They reconnected a couple of years ago, after both had similar faith-related experiences; the two began talking regularly, and “[a]ll of a sudden, we both kind of realized that we weren’t just friends anymore. We realized we wanted to be more than just friends.” From there, “Things moved pretty quickly,” with the couple managing a long-distance relationship; Pitney bought an engagement ring after they’d been dating for 10 months.

Pitney released his debut full-length album, Behind This Guitar, in October.
