MMA Keeps The Cup With 42-35 Road Win

The Admiral's Cup is staying in Castine for another year. Maine Maritime Academy beat Mass Maritime Academy 42-35 on the road Saturday afternoon.

These two schools have played for the Admiral's Cup for 44 years.

The Mariners racked up 497 yards of total offense -353 of the yards on the ground.

The Buccaneers gained 422 total yards - 340 of them through the air.

For Maine Maritime, the win improves the record to 1-1.

MMA quarterback Corey Creeger (Biddeford HS) threw two TD passes and ran for three more TDs.

Jacob Doolan (Lawrence HS) led the Mariners with 154 rushing and scored the game winning TD with 9-seconds left in the game.

MMA will host MIT next Saturday in Castine for their homecoming game.
