Rick Porcello retired the first 16 Oakland A's he faced while his Sox teammates pounded out 17 hits in Saturday night's 11-2 win. Thanks to another Toronto loss in Tampa Bay, the Sox are back in a tie for first place.

Porcello is going to have to be considered for the Cy Young Award. After this seven inning, four hit, two run performance, he is now 19-3 with a 3.23 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP.

As for the Sox offense against the A's, well, it is getting ridiculous. Red Sox hitters have 67 runs and 82 hits in five games vs Oakland this season.

Last night David Ortiz led the 17-hit attack with three. Yoan Moncada, Dustin Pedroia, Xander Bogaerts, Sandy Leon and Jackie Bradley Jr. all had two hits.

The Sox and A's play one more time, this afternoon at 4pm.
