RCMP began a search and rescue effort around 5:00p.m. Tuesday, after receiving a cell phone call from a 15-year-old boy who was lost.

A group of three boys, ages 15 to 18, planned a camping trip in the Turtle Mountain area when one of the boys got separated from the group.

Members of the Grand Bay-Westfield detachment along with personnel from the Department of Natural Resources, Welsford Division located the boy around 9:00 p.m. The GPS from the lost boy’s cell phone helped rescue crews locate him.
