According to Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, authorities went to a home on Serenity Circle in Fairfield on Wednesday to serve a search warrant on an unrelated matter and made the discovery of material consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

The MDEA was notified of the discovery, which resulted in a second search warrant to seize the lab related material.

Agents were able to take custody of the evidence without the need for a full MDEA lab team response, according to McCausland.

No arrests have been made and MDEA and Fairfield Police are continuing their investigation.
