The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency  says meth labs discovered inside a home in Bangor and a vehicle in Lincoln bring to 73 the number of meth responses by the drug agency this year. Bangor Police took 49-year-old Jeffrey Miller into custody at a home at 67 Deer Isle Road Wednesday and charged him with a meth lab discovered last month on Hammond Street. Found inside the Deer Isle apartment was a second meth lab, which required a response from the MDEA meth lab team Wednesday night.

Drug agents then charged Miller with meth manufacturing, in addition to the Bangor Police Department charge. Miller is at the Penobscot County Jail.

Also, Lincoln Police say the discovered a meth lab inside a car they stopped in the town yesterday. 29-year-old Jared Lovett of Lincoln was charged with manufacturing meth.

Lovett was also taken to the Penobscot County Jail.

Found in his car were three bottles with the ingredients to make the drug. The drug agency’s meth team also responded to that scene.

73 meth related arrests before the half point of the year means a record number of arrests already. The agency says there were 56 for all of 2015.
