Maine’s newest State Troopers have been told to become part of their communities and that they will see the best and worst of people during their careers. That advice was given from the Chief of the State Police, Colonel Robert Williams, as he administered the oath of office to eight new troopers Friday.

Williams said, “Troopers need to become part of our communities. The person we give a ticket to on Monday may be sitting beside us at a ballgame on Thursday, so always treat people with respect and dignity.”
