Top seed MCI finishes its regular season with a 37-7 win over Mt. View. That means the Mustangs are out of the LTC playoff picture, no matter the outcome of tomorrow's Bucksport vs Ellsworth game. The Huskies wind up the regular season 9-0.

It was a rainy, windy Friday night at Alumni Field in Pittsfield.
The Huskies controlled the game from the opening kick, recovering a fumble on the game's opening possession and turning it into seven points. MCI led 21-0 at half and eventually extended the lead to 29-0 on a 70-yard punt return touchdown by quarterback, Josh Buker.

Buker added a passing TD, while Eil Bussell added 67 rushing yards and a score.

With the loss, the Mustangs were eliminated from postseason contention, meaning Bucksport --who plays Ellsworth in their regular season finale, tomorrow at 1 p.m.-- earned the 4th seed in the LTC playoffs no matter the outcome of tomorrow's game.

The result also means Bucksport will be MCI's opponent in next week's Class D North semi-finals, with the Huskies heading into the playoffs as the top seed in the LTC. MCI defeated the Golden Bucks, 41-21, in their regular season meeting on September 9.

Mt. View finishes their season at 5-4, 5th in the LTC.
