McFarland, Bentley Are NCAA Bound

Tyler McFarland and his Bentley Falcons are in the NCAA Division-II field afterall. Despite losing in the Northeast-10 Conference title game Saturday, Bentley was picked as an at-large team.

That means the former Camden Hills Windjammer will have a chance to break the Bentley school scoring record. He has 2,097 points, six shy of the career record.

(21-8) Bentley's opening round opponent will be fellow NE-10 member Stonehill, a team the Falcons beat in the conference semi-finals. Stonehill features former Maine high school star Isaiah Bess.

Bentley had six Mainers on their squad - McFarland, Keegan Hyland(S.Portland HS), Alex Furness(Wells HS), Nick Burton(Falmouth HS), Kyle Bouchard(Houlton HS) and Zach Gilpin(Hampden Academy).

Bentley plays on Stonehill on Saturday in Philadelphia.
