Hutchins Wins Maine Match Play Title [SCORES]

The summer of Matt Hutchins continues...the Maine Amateur champion from last month is now Maine Match Play champ, defeating Will Kannegieser 1-up in the final match.

Hutchins plays out of Woodlands Club in Falmouth. He is UCLA bound this fall.

He leaves with two Maine titles and an 8th place finish in the New England Amateur tourney.

Dover, New Hampshire:  At the New England Junior Golf Team Championship, the Maine team finished in 4th place. Camden's Cole Anderson was medalist for the three day event, shooting a 10-under par total of 200 (65,65,70).

Other junior golfers on the Maine team included Logan Thompson, Eric Dugas, Ryan Collins, Austin Legge, Lucas Roop and Caleb Manuel.

Team Massachusetts won the New England with a team total 3-under par score.
