The Maine Potato Blossom Festival runs July 11-19 - it's a "must-go" summer event. So many incredible things to do. Here's a list of activities provided by fortfairfield.org/potatoblossom.html:

Scheduled events typically include: kick-off town wide yard sale, human chess, photography and coloring contests, industry dinners, multiple field and court sports tournaments and swim meets, pet show, potato picking contest, massive multi-national parade, veteran's BBQ, bingo, horse rides, family under-the-stars movies, G-Force laser tag, farmer olympics, children's rides and activities, adult beer gardens, street dances, bicycle rodeo, mashed potato wrestling, 3-person golf scramble, canoes and kayaks regatta on the Aroostook River, walkers/runners 5 miler road races, 25 mile bicycle race, arts and crafts fair, multiple music venues, extensive food court, antique tractor display and pulls, pageants, fireworks, and much more."
