Police officers from the Woodstock detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Route 122 Monday night, according to Cpl. Jonathan Holmes.

More than 2,000 marijuana plants and nearly one pound of dried marijuana buds were seized, Holmes said. Once mature, the number of marijuana plants seized could have produced upwards of 1,000,000 joints.

Two men from Dow Settlement, aged 41 and 60 years old, were arrested at the residence. They were later released and are scheduled to appear in Woodstock Provincial Court on September 27.

Police say this is the second significant seizure of marijuana in the Woodstock and Perth-Andover areas in the last week. View story of earlier drug bust here.
