Maren Morris may just have made herself some fans in a new genre: The country singer made an appearance onstage with DJ and house music producer Zedd at 2:30 AM on Sunday morning (April 29) at the Las Vegas club, OMNIA, to perform the chart-topping crossover collaboration, "The Middle."

Just two weeks after performing her latest single, "Rich," at the 2018 ACM Awards, Morris was back in Vegas, but in an entirely different venue: the massive club had packed in 2,000 electronic music fans there to see Zedd. However, that didn't stop the country star from winning over the audience: During her performance, footage shot from behind her shows a captivated audience holding up cell phones and singing along to every word of the song.

According to Rolling Stone, as Zedd addressed the crowd to introduce Morris, he revealed that is was the first time the two of them would be performing their hit live. "I've got a very special guest tonight," the performer said. "We made a song together, but we've never performed it together. So this is the very first time."

The chart-topping hit was released in late January of 2018, so it seems hard to believe that their April performance was the first time the collaborating artists had a chance to perform "The Middle" at a live show. However, 2018 has already been a whirlwind of a year for Morris -- aside from performing at the ACMs and celebrating the release of "Rich," the singer also got married in March and, to top it all off, announced soon afterwards that she is heading into the studio to record her sophomore album.

Even so, Morris took a moment to bask in her new audience's warm reception. Following Sunday's performance, the country star shared a photo on Instagram telling Zedd, "You throw a damn good party!"
