The Presque Isle CareerCenter is offering free programming in March for job seekers and anyone considering training for a new career.

Workshops and events are held at the CareerCenter at 66 Spruce Street unless otherwise noted. Maine Veterans receive priority of service in all programs.

Creating Winning Resumes – March 12, 19 and 26 at 9 a.m. Learn how to create a professional resume and walk out the door with one in hand after this three-hour workshop.

Financial Aid – March 12, 19 and 26, 9 a.m.to noon. Get assistance with college planning and financial aid. Please pre-register at 1-800-281-3703 or http://meoc.maine.edu

Gateways to Employment – Workshops offered in two locations: Houlton on March 18 at 9 a.m. and in Presque Isle on March 21 at 9 a.m. Want to jump start your job search? Learn new strategies, proper interviewing skills and the correct way to fill out a job application.

Veterans Educational and Training Benefits – March 19 at 9 a.m. Come in to see what benefits you may be eligible for and confirm you are in the correct program for you.

SafetyWorks! Hazard Communication/Global Harmonization – March 25, 9 a.m. to noon. Identification, classifications, labeling of hazardous chemicals.

Computer Boot Camp – March 28 at 9 a.m. Do you have difficulty working with computers? Would you like to spruce up your technological skills? Call today and reserve your seat for the next computer boot camp. Contact Pete Lento at 760-6318
