Mapleton Man Escapes Injury in Log Truck Crash in Woodland

Maine State Police responded to a logging truck rollover in Woodland late Friday morning.

Police say 21-year-old Dustin Belanger of Mapleton was driving a 2013 Freightliner on the Davis Road just before noontime Friday. Belanger apparently lost control of the rig as he reached underneath the passenger seat to adjust his CB radio, according to Sgt. Josh Haines.

The logging truck went off the road, rolled onto its side, spilling its load of logs.

State Trooper Nick Casavant and Trooper Recruit Patrick Pescitelli responded to the scene.

Belanger was not injured in the crash.
