Maine State Police arrested a Mapleton man for OUI after he crashed a vehicle in a field off Pulcifer Rd, and led police on a foot chase Saturday evening.

Trooper Pescitelli responded to Pulcifer Road in Mapleton, Saturday around 5:00 pm, after receiving complaints of a vehicle speeding up and down the road. Police said, the caller called back to say that the vehicle had crashed in a field off the road.

The driver, Brandon Pinchott, 29-years-old from Mapleton, was processed for OUI. Police said, when Trooper Pescitelli  told him was under arrest, Pinchott ran from police. Pescitelli caught up to him, he resisted, and was placed in handcuffs.

Charges include: Leaving the scene of an accident, failing to report a crash, violation of conditional release, operating under the influence, operating beyond the restrictions of license, failure to submit to detention or arrest, and escape.

Pinchott was transported to TAMC and then to Aroostook County Jail.

Trooper Stoutamyer assisted at the scene. This case is still under investigation.
