Police were called to the scene Thursday around 1:10 pm after someone walking along the shore found the body in the river, said the RCMP.

The man had not been reported missing to police and it is not believed he had been in the river for an extended period of time. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Foul play is not believed to be involved.
