Police say at approximately 6 p.m., a man armed with a long gun forced his way into a home on Cleveland Avenue as the occupant answered the door. Cpl. Marco Leger said in a press release Tuesday that the man uttered threats and demanded cash.  The intruder fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The owner of the home was slightly injured when the man forced his way into the home. A woman was also in the home at the time but was not injured, Leger said.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, about 6’ tall with a slim build and long blond hair. He may be approximately 40 years old and was possibly missing some teeth. He was wearing jeans and a dark-coloured jacket or shirt.

Anyone with information or who may have seen a man matching this description in the Cleveland Avenue area is asked to contact the Codiac RCMP at 506-857-2400.
