Man Arrested on Maine Turnpike With $5000 of Cocaine in His Shoes
State Police say a 26-year-old man who was arrested after a traffic stop on the Maine Turnpike early Wednesday had nearly $5000 worth of cocaine in his shoes.
Trooper Kristy Libritz pulled over a car for erratic driving in Ogunquit just after midnight, according to Steve McCausland of the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Mason Soto of Biddeford was arrested after police say they found 49 grams of cocaine in his shoes. The street value of the drugs was estimated to be $4900.
Soto was charged with trafficking in cocaine and taken to the York County Jail where he is being held on $10,000 bail, McCausland said.
