Man Arrested for House Fire in Minto, NB
Wednesday, a 50-year-old Harwood Ridge man was arrested by the West District RCMP following an investigation into a house fire in Minto, N.B.
Police were called to the fire on Pleasant Drive shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The investigation quickly revealed that the fire had been deliberately set and led police to make the arrest, said police. While the residence was badly damaged, no one was injured during the incident.
The suspect was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Burton Provincial Court on January 4, 2016 at 9 a.m. to face charges related to this incident.
Police, along with the New Brunswick Fire Marshal’s office, are continuing to investigate to determine the exact cause of the fire.
