Shortly after 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, a teenage girl had just got off the school bus and was walking on Hill Street in the Tamarack Mini Home Park.  Oromocto RCMP say an older man reportedly slowed down his truck and asked the girl if she needed help and where she was going. The girl did not know the man, kept walking and went home to her parents to report the incident.

“'The young girl did exactly what she needed to do. She didn't give any information to the man and she immediately reported the incident to her parents,'” said Cpl. Chantal Farrah of the New Brunswick RCMP.

The RCMP is looking to identify and speak to the man to determine what his intentions were. He is described as possibly being in his 50's or 60's with greyish hair and scruffy facial hair. He was possibly wearing a jean jacket and a ball cap. The girl said he was driving a four-door blue pickup truck.

If anyone has any information that could help in identifying this man, please contact the Oromocto RCMP at 506-357-4300.
