The Maine Warden Service had been asking for the public's help in locating an elderly Benton man who went missing Wednesday afternoon, but there is good news!

According to the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, 86-year-old Arthur Wakeman who had left his home Wednesday afternoon was indeed found alive, though details are sparse.

Yesterday search activities included roadblocks to advise area motorists to be on the lookout for Wakeman.

A total of 65 volunteer searchers, game wardens, state troopers, fire and rescue personnel, K9 units and Maine Association of Search and Rescue were utilized.
