Maine State Police Troop F Weekly Report (Sept. 19 – 25)

Troop 'F' of the Maine State Police based in Houlton, responded to 118 calls for service in the past week. Here's a look at activity posted in their weekly log:

Incident Type: BURGLARY Date: 9/22/2016 Town: Houlton Trooper: Tr. Endre Brief Synopsis: Tr. Endre and Tr. Bell interviewed a suspect in a burglary. After speaking to the male subject, Tr. Endre and Tr. Bell secured the house and Tr. Endre wrote a search warrant for stolen items that were supposed to be inside the house. The warrant was signed and executed a few hours later and stolen items were retrieved from the house.

Incident Type: DRUGS Date: 9/18/2016 Town: Littleton Trooper: Tr. Pescitelli Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli went to an address in Littleton to look for a male with a warrant. He located the male and placed him under arrest. Trooper Pescitelli noticed that the male was trying to conceal something and upon a search, Trooper Pescitelli discovered that the male was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, as well as 26 Xanax pills that he did not have a prescription for. The male was then charged for two counts of unlawful possession.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 9/22/2016 Town: Bangor Trooper: Tr. Casavant Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant charged a female with operating after suspension after she was pulled over in Bangor for having an expired registration. It appeared her license had been suspended for not following through with medical requirements.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL SPEED Date: 9/23/2016 Town: Bridgewater Trooper: Tr. Casavant Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant charged a Madawaska man with criminal speed in Bridgewater. While patrolling in his unmarked cruiser; Tr. Casavant observed the vehicle on radar at just under 100 MPH. The subject was with 2 passengers and had been in a 55 MPH zone, but was just entering a 45 MPH zone. The operator stated he thought he had been going about 65 or 70 and that the gauges in his vehicle did not work.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 9/22/2016 Town: Masardis Trooper: Tr. Casavant Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant arrested a Masardis man on a warrant that had been obtained by the Fire Marshal’s Office. Tr. Casavant worked with the Ashland Police Department to locate the individual. The man had been wanted for Arson and Violation Conditions of Release among other violations. He was stopped near his home and arrested without incident.

Incident Type: TRESPASS Date: 9/19/2016 Town: Hammond Trooper: Tr. Sylvia Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia met with a landowner in Hammond who had been having issues with people trespassing on his property. He installed game cameras and captured the trespasser on film. The subject will be charged with trespassing once he is located.

Incident Type: THEFT Date: 9/24/2016 Town: Island Falls Trooper: Tr. Saucier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Saucier was contact by a local store owner in regards to a shoplifting complaint. Tr. Saucier watched in-store video and observed a local woman steal a cake from the store. The investigation is on-going and the woman will be charged once she is located.
