Troop F of the Maine State Police responded to 113 calls for service over the past week in and around Aroostook County. Here is the Troop’s weekly report:

Incident Type: THEFT Date: 10/31/2017 Town: MARS HILL Trooper: CPL. MICHAUD Brief Synopsis: Cpl. Michaud responded to a Mars Hill residence for the report of a theft. It was reported that a generator had been stolen from a Route 1 residence over the course of the weekend. The generator had been used for a school fundraiser and was stolen before it was returned to the school. The investigation is ongoing.

Incident Type: FIREARM VIOLATION Date: 11/02/2017 Town: CARIBOU Trooper: TR. LEVESQUE Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque stopped a vehicle in Caribou for a traffic infraction. During the stop, he learned the male driver was currently on bail and was not to be in possession of dangerous weapons. Tr. Levesque observed a fighting knife in the tool box of the vehicle after conducting a bail search. The man was issued a criminal summons for the violation and the knife was seized.

Incident Type: ASSIST OTHER AGENCY Date: 11/02/2017 Town: HODGDON Trooper: TR. BELL Brief Synopsis: Tr. Bell investigated a call where a female called a random male and said, “Help me.” The female wouldn’t answer her phone when called back. Houlton RCC was able to determine the female’s name via the cell phone carrier, and Tr. Bell was familiar with the female’s residence in Hodgdon. Upon arrival, it was discovered the female was experiencing a medical emergency so an ambulance was dispatched and transported the female to the hospital. Tr. Adams assisted.

Incident Type: ASSAULT / TRESPASS Date: 11/03/2017 Town: EAGLE LAKE Trooper: TR. DESROSIER Brief Synopsis: Tr. Levesque and Tr. Desrosier responded to a residence in Eagle Lake for a male that wouldn’t leave the property. The female victim called reporting a male had been told to leave her apartment only to return later in the night breaking into her residence while she was sleeping and refusing to leave. Witnesses reported that there had been an assault also. When the Troopers arrived, the man had left the area but was located and arrested. The man was arrested for assault and criminal trespassing. He was taken to Fort Kent PD where he was able to post bail.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 11/04/2017 Town: SHERMAN Trooper: TR. ADAMS Brief Synopsis: Tr. Adams went to an address in the town of Sherman looking for a male that had an active warrant for his arrest. Tr. Adams was given information that the male had just left and was given a vehicle description of what the male was riding in. Tr. Adams found the vehicle speeding and confirmed that the male passenger was the subject he was looking for. The male was arrested and transported to the Aroostook County Jail, and was booked in on a class D warrant.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 11/04/2017 Town: FRENCHVILLE Trooper: TR. CURTIN Brief Synopsis: Tr. Curtin stopped a vehicle for speed on Route 1 in Frenchville. A license check revealed that the Frenchville man’s license was suspended for violating restrictions of his license. He was cited for the violation.

Incident Type: ASSAULT Date: 11/04/2017 Town: MONTICELLO Trooper: TR. SYLVIA Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia responded to a Monticello residence for the report of some sort of disturbance that had been ongoing. Tr. Sylvia arrived and spoke with individuals that had been involved in the incident. Once his investigation was completed, the original complainant and homeowner decided that he did not want to pursue any charges in the incident.

Incident Type: WARRANT Date: 11/05/2017 Town: SILVER RIDGE Trooper: TR. ADAMS Brief Synopsis: Tr. Adams went to an address in Silver Ridge to look for a male with an active warrant and located the subject he was looking for. The male was arrested without incident and transported to the Aroostook County Jail and booked in on the class E warrant.
