Troop F of the Maine State Police responded to 115 calls for service in and around Aroostook County this past week. Here are the incidents included in their weekly report:

Incident Type: WARRANT ARREST Date: 7/09/2018 Town: HOULTON Trooper: TR. BELL Brief Synopsis: Tr Bell was called to assist Houlton PD in finding a male that had failed to appear for a court hearing and the judge wanted him arrested and brought to Caribou Superior Court. Tr Bell arrested the male and transported him to ACJ for transport to the court.

Incident Type: THEFT Date: 7/10/2018 Town: CONNOR Trooper: TR. CURTIN Brief Synopsis: Tr. Curtin was called to Connor for a report of theft. The female reported that several storm drainage grates were stolen from her son’s property. The case remains under investigation.

Incident Type: DRUGS Date: 7/10/2018 Town: HODGDON Trooper: SGT. CLARK Brief Synopsis: Sgt. Clark investigated a complaint of hypodermic needles on the ground near the ATV trail. Sgt. Clark responded to the area and located the needles which he placed in his issued sharps container. Sgt. Clark was not able to determine who left the needles.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL MISCHIEF Date: 7/10/2018 Town: PORTAGE LAKE Trooper: TR. DESROSIER Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier is actively investigating a complaint where several windows of a trailer have been broken with rocks and the metal skirting around the building has been kicked in. Currently the property owner is away and the care taker noticed the damage. At this time, it does not appear anyone went inside the structure. This investigation is on-going.

Incident Type: OUI Date: 7/14/2018 Town: ST. AGATHA Trooper: TR. CURTIN Brief Synopsis: Tr. Curtin was on patrol in St Agatha and conducted a traffic stop. Through the course of the investigation Tr. Curtin found reason to believe the man was drinking and ultimately impaired by the alcohol. The Newport man was arrested for OUI and taken to Madawaska PD for an intoxilyer test.

Incident Type: NOISE COMPLAINT Date: 7/15/2018 Town: WESTFIELD Trooper: TR. CASAVANT Brief Synopsis: Tr. Casavant was called to the Easton Viner Road for a report of a loud party. Upon arrival, the noise had stopped, but there were still vehicles parked along the roadway. Tr. Casavant made attempts to locate the homeowner, but no one would come to the door.

Incident Type: ASSAULT Date: 7/15/2018 Town: NEW SWEDEN Trooper: TR. CURTIN Brief Synopsis: Tr. Curtin was called to New Sweden for a report of an assault. The complainant reported that her 21-year-old son was assaulted by a 29-year-old man over a truck he sold to the man. After further investigation neither of the two men wanted to press charges.
