Incident Type: OAS  Date: 12/27/2016 Town: New Limerick Trooper: Tr. Bell Brief Synopsis: Tr. Bell stopped a vehicle for having a hanging exhaust system and using a flashing amber light on a public way while not engaged in plowing. The operator had a suspended driver’s license and was summoned for operating after suspension.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 12/28/2016 Town: Smyrna Trooper: Tr. Adams Brief Synopsis: Tr. Adams stopped a vehicle for an expired inspection sticker on the Timoney Lake road in Smyrna. The operator voluntarily admitted that she had a suspended driver’s license. Tr. Adams confirmed this through dispatch and then summonsed her for OAS

Incident Type: ASSAULT Town: Littleton Trooper: Tr. Sylvia Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia is investigating an assault that occurred at a party in Littleton where a female was punched in the face by a male at the party after an argument, alcohol was involved. Male is being charged with assault.

Incident Type: OAS Date: 12/29/2016 Town: Amity Trooper: Tr. Sylvia Brief Synopsis: Tr. Sylvia cited a 20-year-old Linneus man for operating after suspension after a traffic stop in Amity. The man’s license had been suspended for an OUI charge.

Incident Type: ASSIST OTHER AGENCY Date: 12/30/2016 Town: Fort Kent Trooper: Tr. Desrosier Brief Synopsis: Tr. Desrosier assisted Fort Kent Police with a motorist that was pulling a trailer. The 17-year-old driver from Bangor had a tire blow on the snowmobile trailer he was towing. He knew about the tire but continued dragging the trailer down the roadway into Fort Kent. Another motorist had made a traffic complaint when the vehicle was in Frenchville of the trailer being all over the road. Tr. Desrosier assisted the PD with the stop and liquor was found in the vehicle but the driver was not impaired. The driver was issued a summons for possession of liquor by a minor and was told to leave the trailer in a parking lot until the tire could be repaired. The driver was from Bangor and it is unknown how far he would have towed the trailer. The tire rim had been completely worn and the trailer axle was dragging on the roadway. The trailer belongs to the driver’s grandfather.

Incident Type: CRIMINAL MISCHIEF Date: 12/31/2016 Town: Linneus Trooper: Tr. Pescitelli Brief Synopsis: Tr. Pescitelli is investigating a criminal mischief complaint in Linneus. A 38-year-old Linneus man backed his pickup into a well casing causing damage and then maneuvered his vehicle and backed into the porch belonging to the 40-year-old resident. The driver yelled something at the property owner and the man yelled back telling him to leave him alone. The driver left the area and the home owner called the police. Tr. Pescitelli located the vehicle involved but is still looking for the male driver and his female passenger. The homeowner has less than $1000 damage to the porch and the well casing.
