There have been multiple crashes on the Interstate as the roads are slippery and we see some bad weather around parts of the state.

The Maine State Police posted an advisory on their Facebook page alerting drivers and commuters to take care and slow down. There are also some photos of multiple crashes on Interstate 95.

As we all know, this time of year leads to some difficult travel conditions and keeping safe is the number one priority.

There have already been a couple of crashes today, Wednesday, January 5. These are being reported on I-95 from Augusta to Newport.

There was a single vehicle crash in Fairfield near mile marker 132, northbound with minor injuries. It was a roll over in the median, according to the Maine State Police.

There were three separate crashes that caused some property damage. There were no injuries. Those crashes occurred at mile marker 152, mile marker 155, and at mile marker 157.

The Maine State Police are also reporting a crash in Sydney at mile marker 117.

Officials advise slowing down and driving carefully.
