Maine Standoff Ends With No One Harmed
State Police say a 36 year old Windsor man continues to be evaluated at MaineGeneral after he got into a standoff with Troopers at his apartment of 475 Ridge Road Wednesday night.
The five hour standoff ended before midnight when he surrendered to the State Police Tactical Team, after talking with negotiators. The man was armed with two guns and was threatening to shoot himself. Four other people inside the apartment left after Troopers arrived and several adjoining apartments were evacuated during the standoff, which began about 7 pm. Traffic along Route 32 was rerouted around the scene while police attempted to resolve the incident. The identity of the man is not being released at this time.
