The event takes place Jan. 29-31, 2016. Snowmobilers legally registered in any of the participating states are allowed on trails in all three states. All host state regulations apply, including speed limits, youth laws and Vermont's mandatory liability insurance law.

New Hampshire and Vermont have held an annual reciprocity weekend since 2010. Maine passed a law in 2011 to join the weekend festivities.

The states have agreed to allow trail access without having to pay another state for the opportunity to ride there. Officials said it's good for the economy of all three states.
