Since July 2013, over 1,300 Maine employers have registered to use the Job Bank as a recruiting tool in finding qualified job applicants. In May there were 4,439 new jobs posted and 4,150 positions closed for a net gain of 329 jobs.

Jobs are posted every day by Maine employers and staff at the Department of Labor. The team at the Labor Department reviews each employer who registers and their respective postings before activating the job live on the site. CareerCenter staff follow up with employers after two weeks to review the listing's response, make any adjustments or take the listing down when it's filled.

The Maine Job Bank includes a custom matching system that connects the requirements of the job opening with the skills and experience of a job seeker.  Those who register for a free job seeker account will be able to add their resume, enter their skills and experience and create email alerts to receive jobs that most closely match their profile.

The Job Bank is one of many no-charge services provided by the Maine CareerCenters.
