Mother's Day is upon us. Some sources say that more than 70-percent of moms with little kids are working today. Maine is in the Top 10 best states for working mom's to live in.

Our friends at WalletHub.com have taken the time to do a deep analysis of the best and worst states for working moms in 2017. The Pine Tree State ranked really high.

13 key metrics were used to compare all 50 states and Washington D.C. in order find where the best places in the nation were for working moms.

The states were measured on day-care quality, women's salaries, and female unemployment, to name a few.

Some other findings were with the state of Maryland. They found that Maryland had the lowest share of single-mom families with children younger than 18 in poverty. That's 1.9 times lower than in Mississippi, who registered the highest at 51-percent.

Maine was only second to South Dakota for the highest female executive-to-male executive ratio.

The worst state for working moms is Alabama.
