Full disclosure, I have a 7-year-old daughter who is in scouts, so I have an in on the cookie sales. But as we start to run low on cookies in our freezer (seriously, frozen Thin Mints are to die for), I got to wondering when Girl Scout cookie time was coming around again.

Turns out that the Girl Scouts of Maine will open its official cookie season on Jan. 7, 2017. But that's not the most exciting news! When sales open, you'll be able to get 2 NEW cookies (based on a Girl Scout classic), and have your cookies and milk for breakfast (in cereal form).

Yup, starting this year, the Girl Scouts will be offering TWO versions of S'mores!

One is a chocolate covered cookie and the other is a sandwich cookie with marshmallow and chocolate inside.

Next, General Mills is introducing two new cereals based on arguably the two most popular cookie varieties. First, the legendary Thin Mints:

And then, a Caramel Crunch, based on the Carmel deLites (a.k.a. Samoas)

So, now for the important question. What's your favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
