The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says Keith Madore and his son, Nathaniel Madore, were charged Monday following an investigation into oxycodone distribution in Hancock County.

Officials say the Madores and a third man were stopped in Ellsworth after allegedly picking up oxycodone in Penobscot County. Agents say they seized oxycodone with a street value of $4,000 from the vehicle.

The Madores, who live in Trenton, and 20-year-old Zachary Wentworth of Southwest Harbor were charged with trafficking in oxycodone. Jail officials didn't know if they had lawyers.
