Maine Deer Lottery Permit Applications Now Being Accepted

Wildlife officials in Maine say that applications for the 2013 any-deer permit lottery are being accepted now through the middle of next month.

According to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, some 46,710 permits for antlerless deer will be handed out for use in 16 of Maine’s 29 wildlife management districts during white tail deer season in November.

Hunters interested in being considered for the lottery should have their application turned in to the DIFW before 11:59 pm August 15, 2013. The lottery drawing will take place on September 9.
