It's the 25th anniversary of the unsolved deaths in a fire and explosion of a Waterville, Maine couple and Maine State Police are reminding that the case is still open.

Just after 3 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 1991, Waterville Police were called by a neighbor who complained of loud voices and fireworks at 7 Reservoir Street.

Police responded and found the house quiet. But at 5:35 a.m., neighbors heard a loud explosion and witnessed a large fire at the house.

The bodies of 25-year-old Lorna Brackett and 46-year-old Vincent White were subsequently found inside the house.

The fire was declared arson and Lorna and Vincent’s deaths were labeled homicides.

Prior to the fire, the two were last seen leaving the U.S.A. Lounge in Fairfield at about 10 p.m. on Sunday, November 17th.
