I don't have to tell anyone how amazing Maine's hiking reputation is.

The state is loaded with trails that offer a variety of skill levels and styles. Cliff walks, mountain strolls, beach hikes, walks in the woods, rail trails and more provide what outdoors enthusiasts truly love: a way to get closer to Maine's nature.

One of the best Maine hikes has recently received national recognition for its unquestioned beauty. The popular site Love Exploring chose every state's most picturesque hike that you can do in a day. The selection for Maine is the iconic Ocean Path Trail in Acadia National Park.

The Pine Tree State's golden child is no stranger to being at the top of the charts. The national park is an absolute gem with its amazing hiking, beaches, lakes, and wildlife. It's also the home to the amazing Ocean Path Trail.

This trail has a little bit of everything. It's basically a stroll through some of the most incredible landmarks in the national park. It goes from Sand Beach to Otter Cliff, passing Thunder Hole and other picturesque spots. If you only have one day to spend in the park, this is a good way to do it.

The website All Trails lists the Ocean Path Hike as easy. While it is 4.4 miles (up and back) and does have changing elevation, there's really no majorly difficult spots. Plus, the number of stops along the way will give anyone a nice little rest.

Here is what Love Exploring had to say about its top pick for Maine.

This 2.2-mile path shows off the most beautiful parts of Acadia National Park, with glorious views of the rocky, craggy coastline between Sand Beach and Otter Cliffs...On one side is the ocean, laced with rock pools, coves and sculptural granite rock formations, and on the other are forested mountains.

Honestly, the images don't do it justice. You really need to see it in person to truly understand its vast and incredible beauty. I highly suggest it.

What a great choice from Love Exploring, although it couldn't have been easy. This state is loaded with picturesque hikes. We are incredibly lucky.
