Loretta Lynn is mourning a loss in her family: The country legend's oldest grandson, Jeffrey Allen Lynn, died unexpectedly on Monday (June 6).

Per a statement shared on the artist's Facebook page, Jeffrey Allen Lynn, the oldest son of Loretta Lynn's second child, Jack Benny Lynn, was 47 years old. He lived and worked on his grandmother's ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., and is survived by three children: Jory, Katie and Cody. He was one of the country icon's more than 20 grandchildren.

Jeffrey Allen Lynn's father was one of six children born to Loretta Lynn and her husband, Oliver Vanetta Lynn, also known as "Doolittle," "Doo" and "Mooney." Tragically, he drowned on July 22, 1984, while attempting to cross the Duck River, which runs through the Lynn family's property; he was 34 at the time.

Loretta Lynn was scheduled to perform on Friday (June 10) and Saturday (June 11), in Miami, Okla., and Hinton, Okla., respectively, but she has elected to postpone those shows so that she can be with her family during this difficult time. The Miami concert is now scheduled for July 8, while the Hinton date will take place on Nov. 12.

Lynn is on the road promoting her newest album, Full Circle. The project earned Lynn her highest-ever chart debut on the all-genre Billboard 200 following its release on March 4. The record is available via Amazon and iTunes.
