The Woodstock Slammers who are now ranked in the Top ten in all of Canada just obliterated the competition over the weekend. Friday night behind seven different scorers Woodstock hammered the Weeks Crushers 9-1. Then on Sunday the defense was so sick they only gave up 15 shots on their way to a 7-1 beat down of the Campbellton Tigers. The Slammers are now 11-1 on the season and stand in first place in the division.

To the gridiron we go as the Shiretowners of Houlton doubled up Mount View 28-14. Jake Drew was in a word magical running for 200 yards and four touchdowns. Houlton improves to 2-4 with the win on Saturday.

Switching gears to boy's soccer. It was senior day at Caribou, however it was not a happy one as the Vikings were blanked 5-0 by Ellsworth.

Toby Blatt tallied a goal just under eight minutes into the game and it turned out that was all they would need as Limestone defeated Easton 2-0.

On the girls side Limestone had no answer for the Easton attack as the Lady Bears tallied 35 shots en route to an 8-1 win over Limestone. Taylor Brown led the County for the week with four goals in the contest.

It was senior Day in Houlton as well and their match up with Orono ended in a 1-1 tie. Emily mooers scored the lone goal for the number one ranked Shiretowners.

Sarah Doak, Gabrielle Marquis and Bria Judd all scored for the Lady Vikings of Caribou in their 3-0 shutout of Ellsworth.
