Little Big Town Perform ‘Stay All Night’ With Trombone Shorty at 2016 ACM Awards
Little Big Town performed "Stay All Night" at the 2016 ACM Awards; the song is from their 2014 Pain Killer album. The country quartet was joined by New Orleans native Trombone Shorty for their jazzy performance; the multi-instrumentalist also appears on Dierks Bentley's upcoming Black album, on a song called "Mardi Gras."
Although "Stay All Night" features all four vocalists, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook really shine in the song, showing off their vocal prowess, while Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman back them up.
Little Big Town had five nominations tonight. The group previously won for Vocal Event of the Year, for "Smokin' and Drinkin'" with Miranda Lambert. They were nominated for Video of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year, for "Girl Crush," (with Eric Church's "Mr. Misunderstood," Thomas Rhett's "Die a Happy Man" and Chris Stapleton's "Nobody to Blame" winning, respectively). The song also won a Grammy earlier this year, for Best Country Song.
“We’ve been at it for a long time and have seen more than our share of successes, but 2015 definitely takes the cake," LBT member Karen Fairchild says of the honor.
