Linneus Man Changes Plea in Child Porn Case

A convicted sex offender from the Southern Aroostook County town of Linneus was in a Bangor court room yesterday where he changed his plea admitting his guilt.

Officials say that 30-year-old Ronald Trecartin admitted Wednesday in federal court to possessing child pornography.

After an investigation last fall, police searched his Linneus home and reportedly found two computers and a handheld video game console containing images of child porn.

Officials say Trecartin was previously convicted in court in Houlton for exposing himself to a group of kids.

A sentencing date for Mr. Trecartin has not been yet been set.
