With their backs against the wall Connor Leen scored two goals to help the UMaine hockey team beat Vermont and force game three in their playoff series.The best of three series is now tied at two as the Bears snapped their five game losing streak against the Catamounts this season. Leen scored his first goal just :36 seconds into the second period to give Maine a lead. Vermont would eventually tie the game before the period ended putting the score at 2-2 going into the second intermission.

Leen's 10th goal of the season at the 16:16 mark of the third period turned out to be the game winner and the first two goal game of Leen's career. Brian Morgan added an insurance goal five minutes later to seal the win.

The deciding game three of the series is tonight at 7pm. The winner advances to the quarterfinal round and another three game series.
