‘Now I Know’ and Lari White’s Most Important Songs and Recordings

Lari White didn't stop recording great country music when the radio stopped playing her songs. The '90s hitmaker is known for songs like "Now I Know" and "That's My Baby," but she offered so much more before her death at the age of 52 on Jan. 23, 2018.

The last of White's songs to chart on Billboard's Country Airplay chart came in 1999, and while the Stepping Stone and Don't Fence Me In albums were moderate commercial successes, it was Wishes that endeared her to fans of the time.

"That's My Baby" was not White's first song to be heard but it was the first of three straight Top 10 hits, including "Now I Know," which peaked at No. 5 in December 1994. "Ready, Willing and Able" and "Stepping Stone" were two more hits, but to appreciate the scope of White's music you need to reach beyond her commercial aspirations. She earned three Grammys during a 30-plus-year career. All three were in the Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album categories for collaborative albums.
