L.L.Bean found themselves in the middle of a lawsuit brought about by Chicago man Victor Bondi over their return policies.

According to Mainebiz, a federal judge has dismissed the $5 million dollars class-action lawsuit against the Maine retailer after they changed their return policy which allows customers one year to return unwanted or damaged items.

The suit was filed with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

The lawsuit stated that in 2017, Bondi had bought a pair of boots from L.L. Bean before the new policy was put into effect. He also claimed to have been a loyal customer to the Maine company and based it on their satisfaction guarantee policies.

The account went on to say that L.L. Bean countered the lawsuit and said that the accusations misrepresented the terms of its new policy and that it doesn't apply to items bought before the new policy was put into place.

Bondi's suit included more than 100 claimants.

According to the Bangor Daily News, there are three similar suits pending in reference to their new return policy.
