Koizar Scores 25,Bears Beat Clemson 75-42

It was an absolute beatdown by the UMaine women's basketball team over ACC Clemson Friday night, a 75-42 win at the Cross Center in Bangor.

Junior guard Sigi Koizar lit up the Tigers for 25 points. Liz Wood had another double-double, 11 points and 12 rebounds. Sophie Weckstrom scored 15.

The Black Bears now have a 10 game home streak. For this season, Maine is now 9-4. Clemson drops to 3-8.

If you combine the second and third quarters, the Bears outscored the Tigers 35 to 11.

Most every stat line went to Maine -shooting 57% to 33%, rebounds 37 to 21, assists 19 to 6, points in the paint 35 to 18.

Now the Black Bears go on the road for two tough ones, at Purdue and at North Carolina.
